Built With Love: The Kanthara Story

Twenty-five years ago, a young girl sketched dresses in her diary, dreaming of a sanctuary where every woman could feel truly herself. Years later, that dream met a partner who shared the same fierce love for fashion and the belief that clothing is a woman’s most powerful language. Two hearts, one vision and Kanthara was born.

Derived from the Sanskrit words Kanti (Radiance) and Tara (Star), our name represents the Radiant Star. This is our philosophy: we believe style should never overshadow a woman, but illuminate her.

Kanthara is a declaration that femininity is strength and style is timeless. Our hand-crafted pieces are designed to be the vessel for your inner glow, ensuring that when you wear Kanthara, you don’t just walk into a room you shine.

Welcome to Kanthara - where every piece tells a story, and every woman is the muse.

FOUNDER'S VISION

The women behind the magic.

Kanthara is the living proof of what happens when passion meets patience — and a daughter-in-law and mother-in-law dare to dream together.

Mrs Sanjeena Narula

Sanjeena is the soul who kept the dream alive through the years it remained just a dream. With decades of wisdom, a discerning eye for quality, and an unwavering belief in the power of craft, she brings a grounded elegance to everything Kanthara stands for.

She champions the belief that true luxury is not about price, it is about integrity. The premium fabrics, the first-class stitching, the personal attention to every single hand-crafted detail — that is Sanjeena's promise to every woman who chooses Kanthara.

"When a woman feels good in what she wears, she can take on the world."- Sanjeena Narula

Mrs Ishika Narula

(CO-FOUNDER & CREATIVE DIRECTOR)

Ishika has always spoken fluently in the language of fabric and form. From the very beginning, she saw clothing not as something you wear, but as something you become. Her creative instinct drives every silhouette, every detail, every choice of drape and colour at Kanthara.

Her vision was radical in its simplicity: that a perfectly crafted piece of western wear should feel as personal as a handwritten letter. At Kanthara, she ensures it does, overseeing each design with a level of care that machines can never replicate.

‘’Kanthara isn’t just something I created—it’s a piece of my heart, growing, evolving, and dressing every woman in a story of her own.” — Ishika Narula
